My best friend was about 1 foot tall, and weighed 20 pounds.

We got Romeo when he was just a puppy. And I was the one lucky enough to train him.

I spent about an hour a day doing it. First, teaching him to only go outside. Next, to sit and lay down. After that, to come when called.

The last thing that I taught him was to stay.

I would put a biscuit in front of his nose, and tell him to stay.

The first time, it didn’t work so well.

But after weeks and months (MANY weeks and months), he would just lie there. Staring at the biscuit. But not moving.

You could just tell it was killing him.

But he wouldn’t move.

As he got older, he would be a constant companion. When I would work on the computer, he would lie on my foot and fall asleep.

We had Romeo for a long time, until he was 15 years old. Which is VERY old for a pug.
